Ketchikan Alaska’s Premier Salmon Fishing Charters
Our boat leaves from Knudson Cove Marina in Ketchikan, Alaska - known as the "Salmon Capitol of the World".
Knudson Cove is a 25 minute car ride from the Ketchikan downtown cruise ship docks.
We keep our boat here because Knudson Cove is minutes from some of the most incredible fishing grounds in Alaska.
This ideal location is nestled in an archipelago of islands that allow for prime salmon fishing - in our bountiful waters anglers may fish for Chinook (King), Silver (Coho), Pink (Humpy) or Chum (Dog) Salmon. We specialize in working with both cruise ship guests and multi-day fishing enthusiasts!
Our fishing trips include a guided fishing trip with an experienced captain, tackle, coffee, soda, and snack food. Fish processing is available at the docks.

This is a captain who gets to wake up every morning and do what he loves most, fishing.
Kyle holds a 100 ton USCG license, and current First AID & CPR credentials.

If you SERIOUSLY want the best you have found it here. I have searched every single guide in Ketchikan Alaska for over a year and before I found "The Worman Sportfishing Co." I had already booked with another company.. TRUE STORY.. I felt a little uneasy with the first I booked with and a month and a half before our trip I asked them one question.. Will you fillet the fish when we return to port.. Answer "NO" if would cost us $2.05 per pound. When I called the captain of Worman Sportfishing.. I went with him because he did it all.. He put us on the biggest fish the four of us ever caught and we had the best time ever.. With Worman Sportfishing you just don't rent a charter you rent professional guides and most of all FRIENDS.. He could forget us but we never forget him. Thank you Captain Kyle for the memories.

Kyle was great. Got hooked up with him through another charter company that was already booked and highly recommend him.
He wasn’t planning on working that day but took my fiancé and I out for a half day trip anyway.
This was a great trip. I can’t say enough great things about Kyle (he is interesting and hilarious) and the overall experience
. In addition to catching lots of pink salmon and some nice king salmon we saw some deer and whales. My fiancé loved it!
Would very highly recommend this company for fishing in Ketchikan.

Kyle runs a first class operation! My wife and three of our adult children had booked a combination salmon charter. We we so impressed with Kyle's service that we booked a another trip with him later in the week.
Kyle was superb in explaining to my wife and daughter, who are not fisherman and were mostly along for the adventure, on how to fish and how to identify the different species. He was extremely helpful in giving tips to my sons and me on the finer techniques of trolling and down rigging, as we had rented our own boat for the other days of our trip. He also introduced us to "mooching" for salmon, that was a lot of fun!!The boat was clean and first rate. All of the fishing gear was well maintained and in great working order.
Having been on multiple fishing charters in Alaska and around the world, no one comes close to to the top notch service of Kyle Worman Sportfishing! -

Your day of fishing includes: Your own private boat, top quality bait, fishing tackle, beverages (non-alcoholic), as much instruction as you need, great memories and hopefully a boat load of fish!!
-
Absolutely, each person on board, other then the crew, has to be a paying customer per-USCG regulations, but there is no rule saying you have to fish. Trust us, Alaska is so beautiful - sitting back and enjoying the vast beauty this State has to offer is well worth the adventure.

You know that it’s always best to book early. You get the spot you want, and never risk not getting a seat on the boat that you want to be on. Similarly, our season fills up early so don’t wait too long! You can contact me by phone call, text, or email: (907) 254-8945

We frequently get asked “What should I wear”?
Layering is the most important thing to remember when planning your trip. The best thing to is dress in multiple layers so that while we are waiting for the big one you won’t get cold - and when the fishing is hot and your blood is pumping, you will be able to shed a layer or two. We live in a rainforest so rain gear is critical when fishing in Ketchikan. While the cabin on the boat is toasty warm, you can’t fish from inside the boat. We have some rain gear available. Footwear is an area where I see the most problems. The best thing to wear are shoes or boots with a soft rubber sole or tread, no open toe sandals, flip flops, or high heels (yes I have seen it).

We maximize your fishing time by not having to idle through the Speed zone in Tongass narrows on our way to the fishing grounds. You will have to take a taxi or uber ride to Knudson Cove Marina where we depart from. It is about a half hour drive and will cost between $50 and $75 each way. Note that not all taxis take credit card. So ask the cab company when you call if you need to use a card.
We do not provide transportation between the cruise ship dock and Knudson Cove Marina. Taxi Cabs meet all cruise ships arriving in Ketchikan. A cab can hold up to 6 passengers. Taking cabs is a common transportation method for charters on the north end. While this is an additional cost, we are still priced significantly lower than the same excursion sold on the cruise ships. -
Cruise ship passengers have 4 options:
1. Catch and release. It is always a fun way to enjoy the day without getting dirty and it is a great method for conservation so our kids and grandkids will have fish to catch.
2. Knudson cove marina offers fish processing and Fedex shipping. Pricing varies
3. The Cedars Lodge offers fish processing, smoking, and FedEx shipping. Pricing varies
Whatever option you choose we can help make it happen.
4. For people traveling to fish, whether it is multiple days or just a single half day, I offer processing, vac pac freezing and boxing.
50 pound Boxes 11.00
Processing, vac pac and freezing for 2.00 per pound -
We are a small owner operated company. We do not combine groups. When you book the charter the boat is yours. U.S. Coast Guard regulations limit us to a maximum of 6 passengers per vessel.
